Slow. Steady. Sparkle. — How LJ Littlejohn Built a Shine That Lasts

November 24, 2025

Welcome back to Spotlight Hustle, where we celebrate the women who turn resilience into rhythm and purpose into power.

Today, we’re spotlighting LJ Littlejohn — speaker, host, and founder of Sparkle On LLC, a lifestyle brand born from faith, burnout, and the beautiful act of starting again.

From growing up in the Midwest to managing partnerships with global brands like Google and Target, LJ has built a career that blends strategy with soul. But her real magic lies in what she teaches: that your sparkle isn’t something you chase — it’s something you protect.

LJ opens up about what it means to rebuild with grace, lead with rest, and shine without apology.

What’s in Today’s Newsletter

  • Feature Story: How LJ Littlejohn turned burnout into a brand that celebrates confidence and care.
  • Mindset Moment: The real secret to building longevity — protecting your peace.
  • Behind the Brand: Inside Sparkle On LLC and how it’s helping women rebuild with grace, not grind.
  • Rapid Fire: London Fogs, faith, and finding magic in the midday sun.

The Spark Behind the Sparkle

Before the stages, the sponsors, and the signature jars of Sparkle Butter, there was a little girl in the Midwest with a big imagination.
LJ Littlejohn grew up surrounded by faith, music, and creativity — the kind of childhood where love was abundant, but life still required resilience.

Her mother, mentors, and teachers poured into her early. They taught her that grace and grit can coexist, that kindness doesn’t cancel ambition, and that being “too much” was simply another way of saying “more than enough.”

But even with that foundation, life wasn’t simple. Growing up overweight, surviving early trauma, and navigating a learning disability left LJ wrestling with self-worth. Yet, from that struggle came a truth she carries into every room today:
“Nothing disqualifies you from your destiny — it refines your voice.”

Finding Her Stage

The defining moment came when LJ won her first national title as Miss Plus America Teen Ambassador. What began as a pageant crown became a platform — one that would eventually shape her into a speaker, host, and entrepreneur with a message rooted in purpose and self-love.

That victory opened doors to community work, philanthropy, and brand partnerships. It was also where she learned to combine confidence with compassion — to sparkle without burning out.

In those early years, LJ didn’t just build visibility; she built value. From working in recruiting and connecting people to opportunities, to managing national brand activations for companies like Google, Target, and Live Nation, she became known for her presence — not just her performance.

“I realized,” she says, “alignment matters more than placement. You can fill a role, but changing someone’s life through connection — that’s purpose.”

When the Glitter Faded

But even purpose can run dry when you pour from an empty cup.
After years of constant travel, high expectations, and managing the weight of “being the strong one,” LJ hit burnout. The kind that makes you question everything — your work, your worth, your why.

Instead of hiding it, she listened to it.
“I learned to rebuild from prayer, not panic,” she says.
And that’s how Sparkle On LLC was born — a lifestyle brand designed to help people restore what success had stolen: rest, softness, and joy.

Through products like Sparkle Butter and programs like Sparkle On Academy, LJ created more than a brand. She built a movement — one that reminds women that it’s okay to slow down, breathe, and still shine bright.

The Business of Balance

Today, no two days look the same.
One week, LJ might be hosting an event across the country or consulting on a brand campaign; the next, she’s restocking orders from her home studio, sipping a London Fog, and journaling between flights.

Her secret?
She schedules rest like a business meeting.
“My nap and prayer time are sacred,” she laughs. “That’s how I keep my peace and my edge.”

For LJ, success isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing what matters with intention.
“You can be soft, strategic, and successful,” she says.

A Legacy of Light

At the heart of LJ’s work is a mission bigger than business — it’s about building a legacy of light. Through Sparkle On, she helps women lead with authenticity, confidence, and care. Her faith remains her compass, her community her fuel, and her purpose her anchor.

Whether she’s on stage or behind the scenes, LJ shines not because everything is perfect, but because she’s made peace with the imperfect.
Her sparkle is sustainable — born from surrender, not striving.

Why We Love LJ’s Story

Because LJ reminds us that you don’t have to lose yourself to find success.
She turned burnout into beauty and built a brand that glows from the inside out. Her story is proof that protecting your peace isn’t just self-care — it’s a strategy for longevity.

LJ doesn’t just sparkle. She shows every woman watching that they can, too — in their own time, in their own way, without apology.
