For many, poverty is where dreams go to die.
It steals opportunities, stifles potential, and drains hope.
For Favour Osai, poverty was the lens through which she saw the resilience of the human spirit. Growing up in one of her city’s most impoverished areas, she didn’t just survive — she was fuelled by a stubborn passion to rise, to become more, to chase bigger dreams, and to work relentlessly until she pulled herself free.
She believed that God, who had given her those dreams, would never let her walk alone.
She found her calling in nursing. Where education was a luxury, Favour was determined to carve out a path that many thought impossible for someone with her background. Through her journey and the stories of the patients she cared for, she discovered a deep purpose in mental health nursing.
Today, Favour finds joy in holding the hands of those navigating their pain.
She fights alongside those whose spirits life has tried to break. Her mission is clear:
To advocate for mental well-being and help others find strength amid struggle.
But her story doesn’t stop there.
Understanding the empowering nature of fashion, Favour launched a clothing brand that celebrates resilience and strength, blending style with hope for every person who wears her pieces.
Balancing her roles as a mental health therapist, nurse, and business owner, she’s learning that:

self-care,

setting boundaries,

seeking support, and
-
purposeful planning
are essential to her sanity and success.
And on the hardest days, she returns to her “why” - the purpose that keeps her afloat.
Favour’s journey, from a timid girl to a Certified Mental Health Specialist, Registered Nurse, and Brand Owner, is a beautiful reminder:
