The Power of Paying Love Forward
Natalia Nicholson Google-Certified Digital Marketing Coach Founder of Women in Digital Business
When Dailisha Rodriguez lost her beloved grandmother, she made a bold decision. She gathered all her savings and invested them into what would become a life-changing organization.
Today, that organization continues to inspire, guide, and provide unwavering support to young women and girls striving to find their place in the world.
But what inspired her to take such bold strides?
She went from standing outside the circle, longing for acceptance, to defying the norms and creating a space of her own.
From a young age, Dailisha was relentlessly bullied for her size, labelled as “dumb” and “ugly” by those she desperately wanted to fit in with. On top of that, she endured sexual abuse, and the trauma threatened to break her. But amidst the darkness, she found light. The love of the women in her life, including her sister, aunt, and grandmother, lifted her and breathed confidence into her.
She realised that without these strong support systems holding her up, she might never have found her footing. So, in honour of her grandmother’s love, she chose to pass the baton of support forward and the Hey There Beautiful Foundation was born.
Today, the organisation has transformed the lives of hundreds of young girls, some as young as 10, through workshops, mentorship programs, and school counselling initiatives designed to inspire and uplift.

Dailisha remains deeply committed to giving back to her community, taking immense joy in watching young girls and women step out of fear and insecurity and into purpose and power.
My Reflection:
Dailisha’s journey shows the power of turning pain into purpose. Instead of letting her struggles define her, she used the love poured into her to uplift others. The true impact isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about choosing to give back with what you have.
I’m thrilled that Dailisha Rodriguez will be speaking at our upcoming summit! She’ll share her insights on resilience, purpose, and building a legacy that empowers others.
Question for you:
Who has poured into you, and how can you pass that love forward?
